Early Head Start

Indiana County Early Head Start is a full year, federally funded program under Indiana County Head Start, Inc. 

The main objectives of Early Head Start include:

  • promote positive pregnancy outcomes
  • promote infant/toddler development
  • promote healthy family functions

 

This is a home visiting program providing services to income-eligible familes with children ages birth through three years of age, as well as pregnant women.

Enrolled familes are supported by a 1 1/2 hour weekly home visit and a biweekly group socialization.

Services are comprehensive in the areas of:  Child Development, Health and Nutrition, Mental Health, Family Services, and support to parents of children with disabilities.
