Bus Driver

Job Description

Provides safe efficient transportation for 3 and 4 year old program participants. Children are seat belted in along with a bus monitor on board.

Pay is $18.63 per bus run NOT per hour. Will Train.

Full-Time, Part-Time, and Substitute Bus Drivers Wanted.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to

    • School bus driving: 1 year (Preferred)

    • Driver's License (Preferred)

    • CDL with an "S" endorsement license (Preferred)

Job Description

Responsible for the implementation of the educational program by ensuring that all performance standards, regulations and mandates are addressed.


Full Time Teacher (August to May): 37.5 hours per week. Benefit package for Full Time positions.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to

  • A baccalaureate or advanced degree in early childhood education; or a baccalaureate or advanced degree in a related field to early childhood education with experience teaching preschool children.

  • Develops and implements a daily schedule which includes a balance of teacher directed and child initiated activities.

  • Plans and implements developmentally appropriate and anti-biased activities using the Creative Curriculum for preschool.

  • Creates learning activity areas in classroom as outlined in the Creative Curriculum for preschool and submits a floor plan. Follows ECERS guidelines.

Job Description

Assistant Teacher/Bus Monitor

Job Description

Assists the Teacher in the planning and direction of the Center educational program. Assist the bus driver with the supervision of preschool children riding on the bus.

Assistant Teacher (August to May)-Full Time-37.5 hours per week. Part Time-28.75 plus hours per week.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to

  • Must have a high school diploma/GED and CDA Credential, or be enrolled in a CDA Credential program that will be completed within 2 years, or have an associate, or baccalaureate degree (in any area) or be enrolled in a program leading to such a degree.

Job Description

Prepares and provides meals at the Center site. Assists teaching staff with preparation for nutrition lessons. Provides nutrition related information to parents as needed. Ensures all Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations are met.

Job Description

Implements the Head Start Food Program in all program options and assists in the overall Head Start operation of the Nutrition and Health Services area.

Early Head Start Family Educator

Job Description

To integrate all components of the Early Head Start Program year round during scheduled weekly home visits and group socialization experiences.

Child and Family Development: Include, but are not limited to

  • 1. Demonstrate competence and effective strategies in strengthening the parent-child relationship in accordance with the EHS primary goals (School Readiness and positive Family Outcomes).

  • 2. Plan and carry out home visits to assigned families according to the EHS home visit guidelines.

Child Screening, Assessment, and Curriculum Planning: Include, but are not limited to

  • 1. Provide developmental and behavioral screening for all children within 45 days of enrollment.

  • 2. Provide follow-up screenings according to schedules of ASQ and ASQ-SE.

Record Keeping: Include, but are not limited to

  • 1. Complete and maintain all required EHS program forms and paperwork according to the EHS paper flow system procedures.

  • 2. Maintain up-to-date required data entry in ChildPlus and TSGOLD.

Parent Engagement: Include, but are not limited to

  • 1. Collaborate with parents on an ongoing basis in all aspects of their child’s education, medical/dental health, nutrition, safety, mental health, and disabilities needs.

  • 2. Work with parents to utilize the home environment and household resources in developing home educational activity plans.

Qualifications: Include, but are not limited to

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Social Services, Family Relations or related field. Past work experience in human services/home visiting preferred. Must be able to travel extensively throughout the county.

  • Candidates must be able to pass a background check including child abuse, state police, finger printing, physical, drug test and TB test. Benefit package offered.
